service engine soon warning

The same day I picked up my car from the repair shop the "service engine soon" light came on. The distributor  
rotor was broken so they removed and replaced the distributor cap, changed oil and spark plugs. My mileage
was slightly below 115,000. What should I do? Can I turn off the warning myself?

It's hard to tell if your car has a SES light instead of a Check Engine Light. Some places say it's a service reminder, some say to check the gas cap. Take it to a parts store to get the codes read. If something is wrong, they can tell you.
