Nissan Maxima SE 2002 won't start when jumping it

My Nissan Maxima 2002 SE was sitting in front of my house for a couple of
months and I thought it's battery had been completely drained. I jumped the
car today and made sure to wait about 15 mins before attempting to start it.
The car didn't start, though I saw dashboard light up. I let the battery charge
for another 10 mins, turned off the jumping car and disconnected the jumping
cables. After that, I saw that the dashboard lights were also not coming up.

I am guessing that my battery is completely dead and planning to replace it.
Could it be something else? Do I have a dead alternator as well?

I would replace the battery and have the alternator checked. You can either remove the alternator and take it with you to test or have it tested in the car.after you install the battery. Make sure you test the old battery as well before buying a new one. Who knows both could be good and you have a different problem.
