How to repair front drivers side exterior door handle?

Part of door handle broke off I wanted to
know if this was something I can repair
myself if I buy the handle.

Yes, you can. It's about $50 per handle. Expect to spend about half a day. Passenger side is easier than the driver's (has key lock included). Remove door by unscrewing all screws including 1 in inside door handle which is hidden under a plastic cover. Toughest part was getting the key lock linkage into the cylinder that manually unlocked the door (which you won't have to mess with on the passenger side). Also, if you have big hands, forget about it & have a mechanic do it. There is very tight clearance in there.
