2003 sentra le (2.5) has very slight hesitation, slight jerk, but..only under light load while cruising.

Asked by Charles Aug 01, 2018 at 04:11 PM about the 2003 Nissan Sentra 2.5 LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It only hesitates at highway speeds under very light load. It kinda jerks a tiny bit, I am thinking maybe one cyl is misfiring since its so very slight. maybe plug?  Anyone have any ideas? or experince this same thing?

Its a 2003 2.5 Le sentra with 85k.

Unrelated, but kinda funny... When i bought it used, it ran fine....til i drove it home. It seemed the tranny went out. It would rev, but wouldnt go. I tried manually swittching gears, which kinda worked. I had 1-2...but that didnt last far. I thought OH DAMN... I just got it, and now it needs a tranny???... Turn out it was low on oil!...very low. After I put in 3 qts, it ran great. I am hoping this was some safety feature that I never saw before. But its something to make a mental note of.. Low oil could cause no tranny.
