car not able to move

my car died then when we jumped it it would turn on but when we reved it a few time it would die and when I went to hit the gas pedal my vehicle would not move. any ideas what could be wrong

I hope you put red to red and the ground wire to a metal part of the cars engine or body, you could potentially short the system.

first time my Murano wouldn't move the mechanics thought it was bad connection. No. Car went back to shop they said it was the battery and everything check out okay. Now it has done it again. Will start but barely move when put in drive!
