Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When driving about 2 mins in the car gives up and
does not accelerate in drive I had to put it in N to
keep rev then jump back to drive for another min
until I got home to keep it from stalling this car has
a new battery and does not have check engine light
the lights also flicker and it needs a jump to start
what should I check first? Any clue? Oh and I also
replaced the alternator a yr ago but was short on
funds so I had to buy a Used one
