abs

Asked by Tracie Feb 05, 2016 at 12:24 PM about the 2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My abs light came on and then it went off. When it
went off I came to a stop sign and when I touched
the breaks I heard the abs motor and it was like I
was skidding, there was a grinding sound and I
could feel it in my foot. Since I took it to get looked
at of course it was not doing that anymore no
lights no noise. And now the light is back on. What
could be going on?

If you were stopping on a slippery spot in the road then your ABS was doing what it is supposed to do.

I have the same problem with my wife's 2005 xtrail, I wonder if the fuse is blown, I seen it had a spot for a mini fuse, I haven't looked to see if it had a relay.
