Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have this issue with the electrical on my
Ford Ranger I'm believing that the battery
terminals maybe bad after usage and
wiggling them at one point it started and
then turn it off and the next time we tried
to start it no longer starts.just a clunk
sound when you turn the key over.what's
wrong with my ride?

If the battery terminals were actually bad they would be loose on the battery and leaking acid around them. Like tennis says - clean the terminals and cable ends and tighten them up good. If you can't tighten them then you need to replace the cables.

cut the cover of the cables back a little and see if you have a green color on them. You can put Baking Soda and a drop of water and it will clean them up. I put two 1000 amp jumper batteries on a battery and it would not even click. Once I cleaned the cut back cables, it started on it's own. Tape the cables after the cleaning. Hope this helps.
