MY CAR WON'T START/TURNOVER. DO YOU THINK IT'S MY STARTER?

It's been running hot for 5mos. I had the thermostat changed first. A bolt was broken in the housing after that(had that fixed). It was still running hot. No, leaks from anywhere. After that there was a tiny whole in the Radiator. I had that replaced. Still running hot. Once it got cold, it stopped running hot. A couple of weeks ago the radiator burst. Changed the radiator again. I know that my car needs a tune-up. Yesterday it wouldn't start/turnover. My guess is that it needs a: Starter, Thermostat, and a Tune-up. I also think that the initial problem was the thermostat and it was put in wrong. Does my car need a starter?

Hard to say. It may need a starter for starters (no pun intended) but your overheating problem could have caused other issues, or resulted from other issues, like a head gasket, that would make starting an issue. Suggest having the cooling system pressure-tested; a burst radiator could be a sign of excess pressure in the cooling system from a blown head gasket, which would also cause hard starting and hot running.

i have a nissan sentra 1.8 2005. I had the same problem with the car overheating. It may be the head gasket. I went and got a new thermostat and everything that you did but the correct remedy was the head gasket change. it costs $1000 average but i never had that problem again. Just make sure you have a warranty on the services because its not supposed to overheat for 10 yrs after you get that done

have you check to see if the cooling fan kicks on? If thats not coming on that will cause it to overheat.
