Service engine soon light

Asked by Aug 02, 2012 at 12:32 PM about the 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra 1.8, the odometer just went over 100,00 miles and now the "service engine soon" came on.  Is the normal when a car goes over 100,000?

Tom is correct. It isn't normal. This means you need to have your computer scanned. Some auto parts stores, like Advance or Auto Zone will do it for free. HTH. -Jim
