2019 Tucson horn loud

Asked by Lauren Aug 02, 2019 at 09:41 PM about the 2019 Hyundai Tucson Preferred FWD

Question type: General

Just bought a 2019 Tucson. The horn is
obnoxiously loud when I use the remote to
lock it.

1. Am I able to get the horn volume turned
down?

2. What’s the difference between pressing
the remote one and two times? When I press
it once I hear the doors lock. When pressing
two times the horn beeps too.

1) You could probably remove the wiring that connects the horns to the doorlocks or add a quieter horn and move the wiring to that. There might be a way to disable it too somewhere on the Google. 2) Remote 1x is Driver door unlock. Remote 2x is All door unlock.

Hey Lauren. I have the same problem. Is there a way to lower the horn?

I just watched a you tube video that if you press the lock and unlock button at the same time. You will see your lights flash 4 times and that deactivates the horn.

There's an option to turn it off in the menu-->doors-->lock: horn feedback
