The RAV4 has a 12V LN! battery with a 20 hour 45Ah rating most cars have bigger batteries. They claim that one hour after closing and locking the doors a residual current of 0.04-0.06A keeps various electronics working. Clearly something isn't shutting down or staying shut down as they expect in many cars - perhaps a software fault ??? A dealer recommended disconnecting the battery if the car was left for any longer periods ..... hardly an elegant solution.
