what would cause my cruise control to stop working?
I have a 2005 nissan murano and suddenly the cruise control stopped working. took to the mechanic said he
couldnt find out what the problem was except maybe the clockspring.. Lots of money to repair. what do you think?
he was scared of that one, another parts changer i guess,a clockspring, what was on his cranium? ck. the fuses,,,,,,so9me possbls, brake sw.vac. lines ,,brake fuse, many more if the M.I.L. is on
Well, you must think if you were a cruise control, you would not want any of the systems to be touched (maybe the accelerator). or I'm switching it off. So, it's touchy as far as switching off. I'd take a look at your brakelight switch, your shift position transducer and the seatbelt interlocks...any number of systems can put cat food into the chili-...and make it shut off before it began.
Is your check, or service engine light on,that would disable your cruise,if not, fuse, shorted wire,c.c switch.good luck
There is a Service Bulletin for this. Dont have details right now, but you'll see it when enter "Murano cruise control problems" in Browser.
