2005 nissan truck wont start good battery

Does it crank when you turn the key?

No. There's a clicking noise and the gage needles jump with each click. Then the clicking stops. Tried to jump it anyway and got no crank

You can try it in neutral to check the safety switch but it sounds like a starter to me.

I think your battery connections are dirty or loose. Clean and tighten the battery cables ends. You might also want to have the battery and alternator tested.
