If someone sold me a truck that they knew was going to break, what are my options?

Asked by Mirage_1181 Mar 03, 2017 at 04:04 PM about the 2005 Nissan Frontier 4 Dr LE 4WD King Cab SB

Question type: General

I saw a prior question and someone answered with it is hard to prove that
they knew. However, I have proof that they brought it to a transmission
shop and told them he was going to sell it and to patch it. Ive actually got
the invoice showing he listed it the day he got it back and the miles are
almost the same as when he dropped if off as when we bought it..he knew
it wouldnt last. and the shop owner who did the work is the one that verified
that he admitted to the fact that he was selling the truck. so that seems like
pretty good proof to me. the original purcase was in louisiana. does anyone
know the laws there?

You could sue in small claims court but only if you can get the transmission shop to appear in court or provide a witnessed statement,.
