97 Ranger engine light came on. I retreived the error code and it is the EVAP system. Error code is 443 which indicated the Canister Purge Valve (Soleniod). So I replaced it but the same error code keeps returning. Any Ideas, I am confused.... Thanks

To properly diagnose and repair any error code, don't simply change the part and expect all to be well. It doesn't work that way. The P0443 DTC indicated a problem in the Evaporative Emissions System Purge flow System - not a failed part. You will definitely need a scan tool that can not only read PIDs but also has the ability to activate and deactivate computer outputs - like the Evaporative Emissions System's vent solenoid. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0443 indicates a failure in the EVAP canister purge valve circuit. Possible causes: VPWR circuit open EVAP CANISTER PURGE open EVAP CANISTER PURGE shorted to PWR GND or SIG RTN Damaged EVAP canister purge valve Damaged PCM
