using the right coil?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was recently running around a junkyard looking for various parts for my
2005 Altima 2.5 S. Well I found some ignition coils, tested them with a
multimeter and they looked fine. When I got home I checked online and it
seems I pulled them out of some sort of Sentra 2005(?) but it is a 1.8
something.

If I put these ignition coils in my car, is it going to short out, blow up...or ??
Not sure if this would be a big mistake or if it really matters

Your Altima uses the same engine as the 2.5L 2002 - 2006 Sentra (QR25DE). Assuming you can even get the coils plugged in as the 1.8 and the 2.5 are completely different blocks, you are chancing random misfire codes. From experience the QR really doesn’t like ignition coils other the OEM Hitachi.
