sounds like your crankshaft sensor there should be a code stored

Hey thanks for replying would you happen to know how much it would cost to get that fixed or if it's a job I could do by myself?

its around a couple hundred at the dealer i work for in Canada including parts and labour takes about a half hour if all goes well yes you can do it yourself it is on the backside of the engine below the intake the plug can be tricky to release

hey update I'm planning on getting my crankshaft sensor fixed this upcoming week but now the problem has gotten worse. My car is now dying in the middle of the street. Could this still be the same problem?

is there a code for crank sensor if not dont change it if it is quitting it may be a different problem

That's the thing I took it to an auto parts store and they said their code reader wasn't reading it

you may want to have your timing checked possible strethed chain

also check your fuel pressure
