Possible a muffler or heat shield loose....ya just gotta get under and give her a good inspection...try rattling tailpipe and muffler. (COLD) and check u joints

Can you hear it when you bounce the truck while it's standing still? I had a trailing arm fracture on my monte carlo once - the broken ends ended up flapping around; but only connected with the under carriage when I went over a bump while moving.

its the luggage rack not screwed down it flops up and down with the wind .i had same problem it sounds like its hitting or thumping from back .but i found out finally months later it was the luggage rack that just needed tightened down no more noise
