1997 allwheel drive

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1997 Ford Explorer all wheel drive
with the 5.0 V8 my question is I just recently
bought it and I crawl underneath to find out
that the drive shaft or drive line for the front
axle is missing can this harm my truck or is
it okay to just run it with the rear Driveline
making it I guess the two wheel drive

1 Answer

Sounds like a previous owner removed the front shaft due to a transfer case or front axle problem.
