Changed transfer case no speed sensor spot
I changed transfer case on my awd exploer an no
hole for speed sensor on transfer . it now obviously
has no speed ometer but also shifts late if over
half throttle any idea how to get speedo to work an
shift properly I have a 97 awd with auto ,4 high an
Put the correct transfer case in it and the problems will be gone.
I really like the difference in highway rpm my truck was turning 3000 at 60 now 2600 at 60 an has a huge difference in power on high end
I just realized that the speed sensor on the exploer I got my case from is on rear diff instead of trans is their a way to adapt
There probably is but you would need to go to a transmission shop for it to be done. Some switching of tail-shaft housing may be able to be done.
