1997 ford explorer xlt location of negative battery cable

Hello I have a 1997 Ford Explorer XLT and I'm
trying to locate where the negative battery cable
goes underneath the motor it splits off into two a
large and a small wire that's all into one does
somebody have a diagram or any idea of where it's
supposed to go please advise thank you

The large ground wire is usually attached to the engine or frame. The small wire has to be a ground. If it's dangling, it can only reach to a very limited number of locations. Extend the dangling wire to it's full length then search in a 360 degree radius to look for the broken location.
