I have a 1999 gmc 2500 with a 4l80e. Will a 1992 4l80e transmission work. I hear they have different vales and differen size bands

Thanks for the info. My transmission 1999 works ok with no slippage and upshifts fine. It just studders when downshifting into first. I put new shift solonoids in it a year ago and it worked fine for a while but then started the downshift problem. Any ideals
