Need Help...Car sounds like old VW bug.

My VR4 has developed a performance problem...I can be driving it & running fine, then the RPM's drop & have no power. It does this intermittently, but more now than not. Fuel filter? Pressure regulator? Suggestions?

Fuel filter,fuel pump,or pressure regulator,when it starts to run like this check the fuel pressure,it will tell you the issue,if you have good fuel pressure,may be the ECU acting up on it.

What's a good way to monitor the fuel pressure? Aftermarket guage? You're thinking along the same lines I was...
