Why doesn't the transmission shift to higher gear?

Hi Iris. There could be a number of things going on here. But here is a link to a troubleshooting guide to help you narrow the possibilities. Basically if the fluid level is fine and it's not an overlooked setting, you will probably want to put the car in front of a pro.
