i have a twin turbo with a hole on the block, can i put a regular block with the twin turbo head on it?

obviously you cannot JB weld a patch over the hole (bought a Volkswagen that had this) so you simply get a replacement block...the part that went bad...not quite sure how this may have happened...bet there's a story behind that ~

there are differences between the TT block and the NA block,, like there's no oiler's in the NA block,,, also if you use the NA block you wont be able to use the high compression NA pistons with the turbos, so you'll have to swap out the TT pistons into the NA block,,you could use the turbos with the NA pistons but it wont last long with out some engine management controllers (not worth it), also there's no oil return lines for the turbos on the NA oil pan so would have to use your TT pan if that works on the NA block i cant remember for sure but probably does,, also while your at all this i highly suggest doing a complete 120k mile scheduled maintenance on your engine while you have it out,,, that is oil and water pumps timing belts tensioners, and tensioner bolts etc, if you haven't already bought a block just get a TT block or TT short block if you don't want to do the assembly your self,

I agree with Daniel. Stick with a TT block. You will be disappointed if you go with a NA block. And will more than likely be doing all of this again real soon.

a very very highly respected engine builder and own of the 2nd fastest 3S car is running a special right now for a complete stage 2 short block for 2000,, name is Ray Pampena, owner of Pampena Motorsports,,,, could probably get a stage one for less, id order one of those and get your heads checked and serviced and bolt those on,,, while your at it get your turbos checked and serviced if needed and put that together and drop it in you wont be disappointed in his work i guarantee that
