How much do yall believe it would run to rebuild a 420a engine?

would it be better for me to rebuild my 420a or should I try to place a 4g63 engine into my 98 eclipse gs?? seriously thinking of doing one of the two soon and need some opinions from everybody so please some advice would be nice!!

From what I understand the replacement is next to impossible without major modification. But you may try to find the engine at a junk yard if you just need something to work. I wouldn't waste my money with a rebuild of a 420a but it would also depend why you need a "rebuild". If your timing belt snapped it would be better to get a junk yard engine and do a gasket rebuild on it.
