how do I get to the thermostat housing on a vertical thermostat?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There are wires in the way and I
cannot get them to move. There
isn't enough room to take t he
thermostat housing off.Already
removed the battery, and tried
moving the wires, but they won't
budge.
