Question type: General

I would like to give the car to my grandson. It's been sitting up for at least 8
months since the flood. I decided to get rid of it but before I did I got the
battery charged up. The door ding works, door locks and dash lights come
on. But I can't get the key to turn in the switch. Help!

I'd have the car towed to your nearest garage for inspection and repair. If your giving the car to your grandson, you want him to be safe in it. Sitting 8 months not running after it got wet is not good. Could be many things wrong with it. Like rusted brakes and other issues such as the stuck ignition switch. If there is water in the trunk, the whole interior has been introduced to moisture and that could mean mold.
