antilock brake pump wont stop

we cannot stop the anti-lock brake pump as in it will keep running when the key
is out the car in question has been sitting in our garage untouched for 3 years
and it should be my first car. please help

If you are not familiar with brake systems, don't attempt to fix them yourself. Take it to a reliable shop and let them diagnose and fix the system. Brakes are serious and should be dealt with by people who know what they are doing.
