Something is draining the Battery.

Asked by FLMark7 Sep 18, 2011 at 11:31 PM about the 2003 Mitsubishi Galant ES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I took it to a mechanic and they said the ac amplifier was bad which was causing the ac to work even if the car was turned off with no key in it. I've tried 3 different ac amplifier boards from exact models as mine at junk yards still no luck. If I disconnect the battery as soon as I connect it I can hear the ac compresser kick in. If anyone has any sugustions I would be gratefull. Thanks

try repacing the electronic switch for your ignition. if it is shorting internally it could cause this issue, seen it on other makes.
