Compass mirror does
not indicate direction.
I don't know about your particular vehicle, but there should be a button or switch to turn it on or off. Maybe in the dash menu? Check the owners manual.

the button on bottom of the mirror has no effect to control the on/off of the compass. is there a fuse for this?. compass is permanently off what else can I do to correct this? call 541-650-4262 only if you have an solution.
The compass on the Highlander is almost useless and is counter intuitive. The Arrow heads point actually points at the stationary compas direction the vehicle is moving; the compass card never moves. It truly SUCKS....
My wife is having an issue with the dash compass on a 2019 Highlander. We both remember the circle and letters (N,S,E,W) as rotating around the orange pointer in the center. Now, the letters are stationary and the orange pointer moves to indicate the direction traveling.
I am having exactly the same issue. It is so irritating I’m about ready to get rid of the 2019 Highlander. At one point the north east south west would spin around and I could tell where I was going but now it is stuck with the north at the top and I dont know how it got changed or how to change it back.
I figured it out guys! On the navigation app on the home screen, push navigation and in the upper left hand corner press the direction and it will change on the display to move in the proper direction. I was getting fed up too. Good luck people!

Can a add a compass to my wife's 2010 Highlander. And where can I get it.
Too bad Toyota Highlander no features in there. No navigation, no compass to small for 5.4 height. If you forgot phone then nobody can drive and reached in Dallas Texas. Dallas Texas is super crowded with traffic. I am moving out from this place.
