What does code p1309 "misfire detection monitor not
enabled" mean?

Based on what I have read, replacing the camshaft position sensor will fix code P1309. It has the be properly synchronized and code cleared for it to work. If it doesn't work, then the PCM is at fault. This approach makes sense because the sensor is $10 online but PCM is a lot more.
