Heater core replacement

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am parting out a 1991 Mercury Capri, for spare parts for my XR2.  I am trying to remove the
heater core.  Done everything per the manual.  I am right at the point where it says to pull heater
core straight out. Yeah, right. Damm accelerator bracket/weldment is in the way. I can't see a
way to pull it out with that bracket there.  And bracket is a large weldment with no obvious bolts.
Has anybody out there, ever change out one before?
