Pre owned SUV 2019 had repaired on a or down vehicle and was never told

Asked by Guru6J6KZ Apr 10, 2020 at 12:01 AM about the 2019 GMC Acadia SLE-1 FWD

Question type: General

I bought a pre owned vehicle at Stanley gmc dealership and I asked the sales
person why the price on it was brought down and if it had been damaged. He
said no not damaged it is because the sales were low and the SUV has been on
the lot to long over 70 days and they need to sell. After I TOOK IT HOME a
couple of days later I was showing it to my RELATIVES and I NOTICED its been
damaged in the rear number and fix. IT IS VERY obvious that it had some work
done and the dealership lied to me . What can I do

If the damage is obvious you would have seen it before you bought the vehicle. I'm assuming this was a demonstrator or possibly a rent a car since it's a 2019 model being sold as used. As opposed to a leftover. Unless you bought the vehicle with some kind of customer satisfaction guarantee, it's yours. Especially when you've had the vehicle several days. It's your word against theirs and who's to say you didn't back into something, have a shopping cart roll into the vehicle, or maybe somebody backed into your vehicle while you were shopping. There's a lot of scenarios they can throw at you. But you can bet they'll swear that the damage happened after you bought the vehicle! If it were me, I'd have the damage repaired and enjoy my new vehicle! Then I'd get back at them by posting bad, but truthful, reviews about the Dealer on social media!! Word of mouth is their best advertisement or their worst enemy! I'm sure a bad review will cost them at least a sale or two!! Hope that helps! Jim
