1995 Mercury Mystique won't stay running

1995 Mercury Mystique v6 when cold will start and run for about 3 seconds
then shut of. Can not be restarted. No Spark. Gasoline vapors at the tailpipe.
ODB1 code reader shows 111 (no problems)

Sounds like it may be the fuel pump. Should have the fuel pressure checked.
