Turn, Stop, and Hazard Lights

Asked by LjohnSilver Jan 27, 2014 at 02:05 PM about the 1995 Mercury Cougar 2 Dr XR7 Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The Turn, Stop, and Hazard Lights quit working overnight. All fuses are good. The 'Third' Stop light in rear window still works. Indicator lights in dash don't work either. Also Radio quit at the same time. Help?

Check the bulbs in the rear for being blown. Bad flasher or Bad turn signal switch, it controls turn and hazard. Indicator lights, the bulbs are probably blown in cluster. Sounds like you may have had a power surge.

It also could very well be that they're all on the same circuit and there's a blown fuse. FMC is notorious for putting a lot of different vehicle functions on one circuit and only putting in a 10 amp fuse.
