no start

I have tried any and all ideas to find out why my 97 mountaineer will not
start. everyone told me the anti theft was on and how to turn it off. I have
tried every thing I was told but still will not start. Replaced battery. checked
fuses and relays, replaced the crank sensor but noting. Anymore ideas? I
am on disability and can not afford to have some one tow it to shop and fix
it. Please help.

Check engine light on?
High level answer, check for spark, fuel and compression. Any relatives that can check these things for you?
No spark and no fuel.That is why I was told the anti theft.
yes the check engine light is on.
the code reader says link error. I have tried different code readers and they say the same thing.
Unfortunately without pulling those codes it is a methodical approach of testing the 3 components for combustion of an engine. There is many different things that can cause this result. Only other thought. Does the code readers say NO COMM? Or link issue? No comm is a wiring issue. Link is where some readers just wont read certain makes and models. Knowing your budget, I bought a very cheap code reader online that cost me $11 from Autel that has worked on every car I have hooked it up to without a wiring issue that is. Model MS300. Very good ratings. Hope this helps.

today i took out the fuel pump (from tank) the rubber hose from fuel pump to fixture (3 inches) was burst, i think someone replaced the pump and did not use the correct fuel resistant hose. It cost me a fortune changing parts. When i sprayed starting fluid down the intake pipe it started right up. (i should of done that first).
