Front end shakes when braking

98 sable, I replaced rotors and brake pads both sides, still no help, I was told it
could be the sway bar links.  If so I will replace them just wanted to ask is this
possible sway bar links could be associated with braking.

Possible that the sway bars are loose and causing the vibration, but then again any other suspension component that is worn or loose could cause the same issue. Get the car in the air to determine what parts are causing the problem before just replacing parts.
