Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I noticed that my car is using up more gas sometimes. someone said that it
might be the transmission. I don't know a whole lot of the transmission so if
anyone would have any info it would really help.

I don't think it is your transmission. Unless the clutch is slipping the transmission will not affect mileage at all. You might need a tune up though. What do you mean by "holding it up"?
