02 mercury villager van running lights stay on even after I pulled the switch out of the system

also pulled the bulbs out an disconnected the rear connectors so no switch and bulbs and i still get a spark on the ground when I attach it to the battery

Disconnect the positive terminal at batt, use alligator clips to hook up a tail light bulb, or a seat belt buzzer. It will be lit up and or buzzing. Start disconnecting things and fuses until you locate the problem, hopefull before you go crazy with the buzzing :)
