Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can I use a 245 65 17r as a spare with 235
65 17 r on my Mercury mountaineer

1 Answer

26,245

Good advice. The 245 tire will be a little wider and a little taller than the 235's. In an emergency, I would say go ahead and use the 245 as a spare but it would be better to keep them all 235's.
