Music in 2019 Jeep Cherokee Doesn't Sound Right

Asked by GuruKRDQ1 Dec 15, 2019 at 01:09 AM about the 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 4WD

Question type: General

Just got a 2019 Cherokee Lattitude and while the stereo sounds fantastic for
talk shows and light music, but when I play rock songs or songs in which the
drums should pop, it sounds like someone threw a wet towel on it. It just
doesn't sound right. This is extremey disappointing because the difference is
enough that I won't listen to music in this car unless there's a solution to this
problem. Aside from getting a new stereo, does anyone have any ideas?

Try adjusting the settings. Like increasing the bass or treble. Look online, there are plenty of Cherokee buyers that are having problems with the Jeep headunit in the 2019's. Some can't even play FM or AM radio. Tons of unhappy people for something simple.

Just got a 2019 Altitude. No CD player. The EQ adjustment is limited. With a CD player I had audio options to add to the EQ, like Super Bass, Loud, Pop, Classic, Rock... and other sound adjustments. Now it's just EQ, Bass, Mid, Treble, and I don't see a way to improve any adjustments. I have this Touchscreen that's tied into everything, I can't just replace it like I could upgrade from a stock CD player to a Pioneer, JBL, or something. Now I'm just stuck! This Sucks!
