Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently took my car in to be serviced because my air blowing hot. I was told it had to be retrofitted and also told that the compressor would have to be removed to be drained. Price: $400 They also told me that I have a leak because I had no freon in my car.

$400 seems like a decent price, although depending on how high the mileage you may need to decide if it's worth it.

ok, don't retrofit the car. R-12 cools 10x better then R-134a, so have them fix the leak, and recharge the system.
