If the belt broke while trying to crank it,do you think it bent any valves...??   Was not
driving down the road when broke.. In parking lot cranking.. Mazda 929 1995  Motor spins
fast.. Thanks

That is an interference engine. Chances are they might have got bent. Have you reinstalled the belt? If so do a compression check. Any showing 0 psi will have bent valves. It turning over fast is a sign of bent valves.

Not installed yet.....figgured I would ask before open a can of worms....Guess it worth 100 bucks to find out..

If you fairly good with tools it's not all that hard to remove head and replace bent valves.
