I left my house and drove about 1 mile and my car acted like I had put it in neutral ,so i pulled over and turned the car off, i sat there for about 5 min. and then started it and it went into gear fine, and i drove about 1/8 of a mile and it did it again, i pulled over and turned it off and about 4 min. latter it was fine again. CAN YOU HELP ME.

try changing the fluid. and change the filter of the transmission. then call me in the morning. or just come knock on my door in the room next to yours.

I have a 2002 Mazda protege that sqeals horribly belts have been replaced as has the alternator but the squealing persists now I've had someone watch as I turn the shearing wheel either direction and the belt completely stops turning I believe it is the power steering pully but idk if my diagnosis is correct. 4 Answers

When I turn the stearing wheel the belt completely stops the pully so I'm questioning is it a bad pully or a power steering pump going bad
