OBD2 machine threw out anti theft codes

Asked by May 30, 2017 at 12:49 AM about the 1998 Ford Mustang STD Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Obd1and 2 reader threw out 8 codes after I have just replaced
almost all fuel system. The main most important code was
anti theft and when I had a professional mechanic look up
codes he said it said to take to dealership. Well I can'teven
start  it and I'm a single mom with no men in my life to help or
figure that stuff out. So I have no options. And I'm struggling
with money so over all a dealership isn't an option for me. I
know there is ways to do exactly what dealership is gonna do
to fix the issue. Can anyone please enlighten me. ?

A good locksmith may be able to fix it. But honestly, the dealer really is your best option. HTH. -Jim
