Theft Device on a 1998 Ford mustang

Asked by GuruDWX7C Dec 26, 2019 at 12:44 PM about the 1998 Ford Mustang Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 Ford mustang and the theft
Device won't reset. I have tried to disconnect
the battery and turned the key on for ten
minutes and then off for five and the
unlocking and locking the door like the Ford
dealership told me is there anything else I
can do to reset it and if a code would show
up with a code reader?

None of that nonsense will work! Unfortunately you need to be towed to your local Ford Dealer for repairs. I wouldn't use the one who told you to do a "relearn procedure" that won't work! They need to plug into the vehicle and find out what's going on! Hope that helps! Jim
