Question type: General

When I turn the key on I'm getting fuel
pressure.  When I crank the motor the fuel
pump is not running.  When I turn the key
to the start position the  theft light  stops
blinking and stays on solid. The motor will
start with starting fluid for a second

There is a post about 6 pages down that covers this on the anti theft system. It is on a 2001 Ford ranger, the guys handle is Kstand.

It could be the fuel shut-off, for when you get a wreck, you know, my 2007 ranger just quit running whole I was driving down the highway, for no reason, I didn't hit a bump I didn't hit the curb nothing I was driving down the road and it stopped running. That's what it was, it just had a button in the back of the glove compartment. it took me a couple days to figure out what was wrong with it even my mechanic couldn't figure it out who was with me when it happened and driving, so good luck!
