Tie Down Receiver

Asked by Yak2018 Jul 26, 2018 at 02:20 PM about the 2018 Nissan Rogue SV FWD

Question type: Car Customization

I want to tie down kayaks on my 2018 Nissan Rogue, as in front and back to
bumper areas for added stability. There is something I could use on the right
rear side only, not seeing any good options in front, a lot of plastic and not even
any obvious places to add anything. Thoughts? Thanks!

A you tube video from Bill Jackson shop for adventure suggests creating tie down loops using short ropes drawn through the holes commonly found in engine frame. Lift hood, choose a hole, use short rope to creat a loop, tie off, close hood so loop dangles outside. When not needed can be removed or just tucked under if not in the way. They also use a lot of metal s hoooks and such which aren’t best idea. Just well tied ropes should be sufficient.
